Cannot import photos into iPhoto

Using brand new t2i

I formatted the card in the camera when I put it in. I took 60 or so pictures, everything looks normal while uploading, but when it gets to the end, I get an error message saying

"The following files could not be imported" "They may be an unrecognized file type or contain invalid data"

Whats going on? Is it maybe because I took the pictures in raw mode?

Looks like I need to find the newest camera raw plugin for Photoshop CS3. Any one have any idea where I can find it?
