Is this the only program that will allow you to copy/burn a dvd? This morning I right clicked on the icon that came up for the movie I inserted and tried out "duplicating" and it made me a file of the dvd, can't I just burn this?

I'm also new to this forum, just want to make sure I posted in the right spot.

MacTheRipper is said to be the best application for Mac users though there are others out there. The Manual will go into full detail about how to rip a DVD:

When you duplicated the DVD what was the extension of the file?

I started using Mac the Ripper but then switched to RipIt. RipIt is so much easier to use and it rips fast. Then I finish up with Handbreak.

RipIt is good and simple to use
But if you want to rip and burn in one app, I still recommend Mac DVD Ripper Pro
