In the buyer's guide, where the ipodtouch is. It says buy only if you need it- approaching the end of a cycle.

Just to the left of the line you quoted, under the picture of the iPod you will see the previous revision dates. These show that the iPod line is generally updated in September. The current iPod line is now over half-way through its expected sales-life.
