First time Mac owner here! Purchased an iMac last week and love it. Have been a Windows guy all my life until now. Having trouble adding my Windows networked printer.

So I downloaded the print driver from here and ran the installer.

Then I connected to the networked printer I have and selected a driver from the drop down box, not sure if its the one that was installed or not. Tried printing a test page, no such luck.

Any ideas?

before we can be of assistance, I have a feeling that you need to specify the following:

make of printer;

Version of Windows.

It'd be safe to assume you're running OSX 10.6.2/3?

Your MacOS X Finder Help menu will tell you how to printer to a networked Windows printer. The driver that you downloaded is for a printer connected via USB. This will not work. You may use a CUPS driver for your printer or you may share your printer as a LaserWriter and use a generic PostScript (LaserWriter) driver.

Thanks. I'll give this a try again tonight. I got a bunch of bull from Epson saying you can't print to a networked Windows printer, which I thought was not correct/

Well no luck. Seems as though I got everything within CUPS setup correctly but the status now reads: Connection failed: NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED

I believe my permissions are correct on the Windows box.

It is unclear which point you are trying to make, but Epson is correct as far its its drivers are concerned.
