Hi

I have an iMac and my wifi keeps changing to my neighbours network called "BTFON" which I believe is some kind of BT network/Zone which gives me a login page asking me to pay to use it. I keep having to manually change it back to mine.

In system preferences I have ticked the box marked 'Ask to join new networks' but it never does ask me, just joins automatically, for no reason i can think of.
I'm using OSX version 10.5.8
Can anyone help please?
Thanks

Matt

Do you have "Change location automatically based on network" (or whatever it says) ticked off? Not on my Mac at the moment.

Is it listed under "Preferred Networks"? Also ensure that "Remember any network this computer has joined" is deselected.

Thanks both of you - I have amended those settings and will hopefully stay with my own network now!
Cheers
