This is a bit of an odd question, I realize, but hopefully someone has a cheap elegant solution.

I'm considering buying a cheapo 1080p TV for my office that will mount on the wall. Most of the time, I expect to use it as a digital picture frame. Occasionally, I'll watch sports while I'm working at my Mac Pro, but that would be once a week. As I said, the rest of the time, I'd like it to be a large digital picture frame.

I found a no-name 1080p 37" LCD TV for $450. The problem is, how do I provide it with a video source of my pictures. I don't want to tie up my camera for this. The cheapest LCD TV's that have a card slot built in, are at least double the price... and not worth it.

Any suggestions?

Not to state the obvious, but since we're on the Apple TV forum, I'll go ahead and mention that you can get an Apple TV for around $200 that will do this and more.

It's about the size of a short stack of pancakes. You'd need to mount it somewhere.

You may be able to find a cheaper solution (though I'm not thinking of one off the top of my head), but this will also provide versatility for other uses you may not have considered yet, such as showing videos.

I bet you can find an HDTV out there with an SD card reader which will do the job nicely.
