File transfert PC <-> Mac

Hi,

How can I transfert my files from my old XXXX Pc to my new mac ??
What can of network is possible?
And can I do something with my old office for PC file such as word doc and powerppt prez ? I mean is the office 2004 fully compatible if I can get the file from my computer ??

Mac OS 10.3 will be able to connect to the Microsoft network. Just set up your windows to do file sharing.
You don't have to change your office files. Mac Office 2004 would be able to read the files
