that is not the only thing down. the support section is down. the itools section along with mac mail and the itools web sites are all down as well.

Most likely this:
They probably are fixing it for the Euro as well there were a lot of promo deals on every page but those expired Dec 31, 2001... They probably want to edit all the pages to get rid of any old info as many people will be checking out Apple's Store throughout the next few weeks...

I don't think it will be Euro due to the Support and other pages being down. But that was my initial thought, see my post €€€.

I hope its for new Servers
