Because my 7500 (with 270 G3 card) webserver is on 24/7, I thought I'd get it doing something useful, as you can see here (http://hotline.kicks-ass.net:8000/picture.png).

I don't know how much a 270 MHz G3 with a slow bus will help SETI, but I might as well. haha

Oh, if you could poke around my site to test if it can keep up with doing SETI while running my site, that'd help me out. Let me know if you get any odd connection problems or really slow loading of images*.

Of course supporting it by clicking the ad at the top wouldn't hurt, either.

Thanks, guys.

*The screen picture is always slow. That doesn't count.

Anything good on your hotline server?

That server is simply info about my Tracker. Nothing but news.

That 83k png took about 1 minute to load on my machine (i'm on DSL). So yeah, i'd certainly say there are some slowdowns.

That's more or less normal because it's not simply showing you a photo, it has to take the 1024x768 screen shot then compress/convert it into a PNG. And of course send it to you (it takes under 10 seconds to do it for me.)

It is only slightly slower in doing that with SETI running. The rest of the site seems fine.
