View Full Version : iPad Sleeve, Case or Bag -- WITH a Strap ??

Sounds Good

I'm looking for a lightweight iPad sleeve, case or bag that comes with an attached strap that's long enough to either go over the shoulder or around the neck.

It would be AWESOME if one side of the sleeve/bag/case was "open" so the iPad could be used without having to take it out... but I know that's a big request. :)

Does anything close to this exist? Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks!

Go to www.sfbags.com

No doubt the rest my sleeve fits my iPad perfectly!

You can order with a strap or not. These are ultra high quality!

Just checked and their site is down but they will be back shortly.

Looks like only one of their sleeves is available with a strap, and it's a bit expensive for a sleeve (especially since the strap costs extra). But thanks, I'll keep this one in mind.

Anyone else have any ideas or suggestions?

Do not get a bag with a strap. You don't want to be walking around with a man purse.

Actually, it's for my mom. :) She's disabled, in a wheelchair, and would like to be able to have the iPad with her without having to hold it the entire time (either in the house or away from it).

Does it have a strap? Or, can one be attached?

Well that changes everything. Man purse just becomes a regular purse for a woman. Nothing wrong with that.

Doesn't look like you can attach one.

Right. But she wants something lightweight and preferably something the same size as the iPad. In other words, not a typical regular purse. ;)

A sleeve with straps would be great. A sleeve with one side open so the iPad could still be used would be perfection.

This one is a little pricey, but it is a leather case with what looks to be like some great features. It has both a carry handle and an adjustable strap from 24"-42".

Unfortunately, they only have one picture posted. Good luck in your search!

Again...... Why would you want a man purse? It's just a question. No need to get offended.

No, you really should learn to read. The OP stated it's for his mom.

Skooba has a nice neoprene sleeve with an external pocket and a strap- - good buy for $15. I have one, although still waiting on the iPad itself.

I have one of these and I can vouch that they are bulletproof. Only drawback is that they are a tad heavy.

Hey guys, I found one that should work for my mom, at least temporarily:

http://www.casecrown.com/ipad-suede-slip-black

At 11.75 x 9 x 2" it's a little too roomy for the iPad (which is 9.56 x 7.47 x 0.5") but at only $19.83 it's probably good enough -- at least until I find something better.

Do not get a bag with a strap. You don't want to be walking around with a man purse.

What is wrong with a bag with a strap? I am a sophisticated European man from France and I love my Muzetto. Only American cowboys would be intimidated by a bag with a strap.

It's simple, European men have a higher level of confidence in themselves than American men. So they don’t get freaked out if someone hits on them or considers them gay. Many take it as a compliment.

I'll have to totally agree with the post about Waterfield products. I have their Muzetto bag that I got for my iPad 1. I kept it when I sold the iPad, and now carry my ipad2 in a Waterfield Smart Case inside their Muzetto Bag. It all goes together very well, and the quality cannot be surpassed.

As was said on another post a long time ago their products are things that you pass down to your heirs. They really that well made. My Muzetto bag is a year old and inspire of carrying it every day and using it with out greatly protecting it, it still looks like it did the day I got it, and I got it second hand. I'm very pleased with the quality of their products.

Has everything you asked for. Strap the ability to use the strap and hold it open while around your neck., etc.
