since the last os update there is a processes running on my mini that is eating up to 95% of the cpu. istat gives me some of the name but iti s too long to get it all it is comapcpo

Find Activity Monitor in your /Applications/Utilities folder, select "All Processes" from the dropdown menu, and sort by CPU. What is the process that is hogging?

I forgot about activity monitor. it was my powershute software for the aps ups. weird the software has not been updated in a long time but I bet it started when there was a message about loss of power.
the software has not been updated since 2006.
