While browsing the apple site today, I noticed an interesting thing on the Keynote (http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/71208/wo/eX6bsG5FC8Wq2idnXJxdmsrv6EK/2.0.9.1.0.6.21.1.5.1.2.0.0.1.0) page. If you look at the dock on the bottom of the keynote screenshot (http://a1520.g.akamai.net/7/1520/51/689272f487240a/www.apple.com/r/store/images/keynote_04182003_400x320.jpg) you will notice that the iTunes music note is purple instead of its normal green. Any reason for this?

Older versions of iTunes had purple instead of green.

Yes, I do believe Panther upgraded iTunes, including the color change and sharing.

Yes I remember the purple iTunes. Fond memories. I ripped 30 GB worth of music in 256 kbps MP3 (only to redo it all in 256 kbps AAC when green iTunes came out).

Purple iTunes knocked me on my ass when I first used it and sold me on Macs all over again.

Ah. I went straight from 9 to panther, and never even touched iTunes before, except on a PC, so I had no clue on what I was seeing :D
