Hello, I want to buy around 256MB or 512MB or RAM, but I need to know how compatible the Cube is, as in does it accept 4xDRAMs or accept high density. Waiting for replies! 😛

My old beige doesn't accept ighdenity modules (+128mbit),
but my sawtooth accepts it (atleast 256 mbit modules)
The Cube is introduced after the sawtooth so it should also support it.

I know the Mbit, yes it accepts both but for 256MB it should be 256/128, for 512 it HAS to be 256. The thing is that I don't want to end up buying memory for cheap then it won't work.
The Cube uses regular PC100 SDRAM. It has 3 slots (not 4 like the Sawtooth). You can use PC133 if you can't find PC100. In mine I had 2 512MB's that cost me $50 each.

Well, I guess there are no Mac Hardware experts in here. Some PC133 will downclock to 100MHz if designed that way or can do cas3~2. I can get as of now, 512MB PC133 for $25 a piece, but there is a warning that it's not very compatible since it's high desity. I guess i'll just try to eBay for high quality RAM under $40.
