My wife is going to college, so we get good price from apple store with edu discount. $200 for CS4 and $2484 for the fully loaded iMac.
(plus work announcing small bonus helped for this decision)

It's been hard for me to get computer time, sharing with wife/kids, now this is "daddy's computer" (for now).

I already have a 2TB external HD for Time Machine.

Yea, I could have saved a few $'s by buying the 2nd 4GB chip myself, oh well.
This will be in the upstairs loft, which will now become the digital media zone. Computer, printer/scanner, DSLR + gear/charging, etc.

Is CS5 due soon? (next 2-3 months).
If so, I'll not open this, return it, and get CS5 when released.

I've got PSE8 now, but for $200 could not pass up CS4.

The prediction is CS5 in the next couple of days. Until it is actually out, nobody knows for sure though.

EDIT:

It looks like the announcement is in the next couple days, but not necessarily the software.

thx for info.....looks like I'll just keep CS4 in a box until more details know, who knows I might even get CS5 as one of 1st people???

As rumored, Adobe has launched Photoshop CS5 and CS5 Extended - the latest versions of its image manipulation software.
