General Software Question

I have seen a lot of people have there dock on the left or right hand side of the screen. can someone let me know what the app is called that lets you do that?

I also see that people have there ichat contact list embedded in the desktop, is there a way i can do this with MSN Messenger?

Also, how do i get my macHD and ipod icons on the desktop to show the hdd capacity info?

im stupid and have just figured out how to move the dock :)

Dock:
Apple menue>dock>position on "xxxx"

HD info:
In the finder... view>show view options (and modify.)

Open Finder, go to Applications, find the MSN application icon, and simply drag it down (or over) to your Dock to the position you want it to be in... and then let it go!

Voila!
Can put any application in the Dock.
If you change your mind - you just grab the application in the dock that you don't want there any more - and move it to the desktop - and it disappers - in a puff of cloud.
