According to some sources there was a minor earthquake in Curpertino and this knocked Power and telecommunications out.

Not sure if it is true!

It says it was on 31st December 2001, I think they either were:

• Fixing Problems caused by this
• Replacing Servers

I'm about 5 blocks from the Moscone Center. We had a minor shake last night. The trick about the small ones is watching out for the bigger ones over the next few weeks!

MacWorld SF could be truly "bigger" than any of us expect ;)

I think there are two possible reasons, with only one being true:

1. The Earthquake did damage.
2. New Servers for SF2002

Apple's new servers, when powered up, caused a minor tremble across northern California, resembling a small earthquake......
