Hey! I just bought the 2.26ghz Mac Mini last week and have some money left over to upgrade. I was thinking about getting the full 4gb of RAM. Is it worth it? Is there a big difference?

Also, if that doesn't cost much..... is it worth it to put in a SSD drive? Will the speed increase drastically to where it is worth putting that type of money into it?

Please post some replies, I'm not really sure what to do.

Definitely get 4GB of RAM, it is worth it. If you money to blow on a SSD, buy it. If you don't, just get a 500GB 7200RPM hard drive.

A 500gb 7.2k rpm drive would be more than enough for the Mini. They are less than $100 new. Same goes for the memory, as a 2x2gb kit will run you about $90-110 for name brand. SSD's are still too expensive per GB. Can't wait for the day when 1gb SSD's cost $.10/gb. Just a few more years ;)

By then PB's sized drives will be the new rave :p.
