Purchasing DP G5? 1.8 or 2.0?

Budget is 3000.

Would greatly increase the ram, Crucial 2gb kit would cost 520 not including ship/tax.

Would it be wise to wait a little bit, maybe prices will go down?

Any rumors of any higher macs? or maybe a price drop?
