21.5" imac help !

It may be a stupid question but do i install the discs that come with it ? 1 says 'Mac OS X install dvd' and other 1 is 'applications install dvd'. Other than that it is brilliant. p.s how do u put a password on every time you start up the imac?

What about them? The install disk 1 is OS X disk and the disk 2 is iLife disk.

System Preferences -> Security -> Check "Block auto-login" box

No, those are just install dicks in case you want to do a clean install. If you ever end up cleaning up your whole computer, you'll just use those dicks to install all the software it originally came with (OS X + iLife)

kk thanks for that. 1 more question. i half like loads of instruments that dont play in garageband. i download them but everytime it says cant save. so i cant get them :(.
