i have a week 5 model i7 iMac ... while the screen is not perfect it is a lot better then week 45 and week 2 that i had.
now that the whole screen issue is behind us, has anyone been able to contact apple and using applecare have a new (NO ISSUE) screen put in their iMac ?

They offered me that just a few days ago, but I went with the replacement.
Figured changes were about the same.
But, I'd really like to hear if people have gotten a good, problem-free screen repair.

I phoned applecare and they said if I take it into my local store I could get the screen replaced for free...they said it could take up to a week and I have no other computer so going to wait for now, should still be able to get it done anytime within the years applecare though

Sadly, it's not.
Still plenty of reports of yellow screens in Week 14.

I wish it weren't true, but several posters have commented on yellow screens from their refurbs and new iMacs from week 14.

talking the same **** no doubt.
I'm just waiting for a decent statistic, like x amount of numbers sold vs x amount of numbers returned/replaced for screen issues.
not going to happen.
IE the vast majority have a good machine.
meh?!?!?!
