iMac G5 arrived, not mine though. Someone posted this on a BMX bike message board that I go to, and I thought you guys might be interested since these are some of the first 'real' pictures of the new iMac, and also just to say that they ARE indeed arriving. Also, it's cool to see Mac and PC users alike's replies and responces of the new iMac....

Hmm, they are shipping for about a week, so I wouldn't exactly say they are among the first pictures :)

I agree, the comments are very interesting to read. Both of the pictures show off the new iMac very well.

Just an FYI, theres been alot of replies on that thread. It's really interesting to see people's responces, I mean here it's almost all from a mac-lover, but there its completely unbiased.

man so many of those responses have bad info in them

for instance the guy says that it will "definatly" run CS.

Now thats a reasonable assumtion i guess (it has the requirements right) but obviously this guy has no idea......

another guy suggests using a 40 gig iPod to transfer info from PC to Mac but the iPod can only be formatted to one OS at a time.........

i don't know its just fun reading these totally mac-illeterate people disscuss what they think is a mirror to windows :o

Dude, I've done it before, it's not hard. Just format it for Windows, It'll work for transfering files.

I thought you could get a programme for windows so that it can read mac formatted hard drives and works with the ipod... That way you can still use it properly on a mac as well....

might be wrong though...

Actually, if this is true, can you (or someone else) please post? This would be great for my friend....

There's a app called MacDrive (http://www.mediafour.com/) which makes Mac discs etc readable on Windows. But if you are just interested in making the iPod compatible with both platforms, just format the iPod on a windows machine and the Mac will be able to read it just fine, it's clever like that! ;)
