I've searched for this with no luck.Does anyone know how to enable £ on U.S. keyboard powerbook.Its for a friend, mine is a Brit version as you can see.Thanks. 😕
 
It's option-3. There used to be a "key caps" application (I could swear it even existed in Mac OS X) to find such things, but now it's gone (at least on my computer). You can use the character palette from International options to find special characters, but I can't get it to tell me the key combo. The only way I could find it was using Insert--special character in MS word.
 
Both Character Palette and Keyboard Viewer are available in the keyboard menu, as long as you have it activated.

Funny, Keyboard Viewer doesn't show up in mine.

Yes, that is odd. When I went into International preferences, I noticed that it seemed to be under the Japanese group.

Aha! Yes, now I found it! Anyone know of a way to access Keyboard viewer without having the keyboard menu activated?

Thanks folks.She found it herself,seems half my prob was it was already on my Brit keyboard so alt 3 only got #.Duh! 😱
