From the bottom of my iMac G4 (17", 1ghz, superdrive):
Designed by Apple in California. Assembled in U.S.A.
Does Apple assemble any of their computers domestically anymore or is all the assembling done over seas?

12" PB... Made in China.
 
12" iBook G3/800, bought May 2003, designed in California and made in democratic, capitalist Taiwan.


I think they make at least some of the desktops domestically.
 
rev a ibook, 300 mhz...assembled in taiwan
powermac g4, dual 500 mhz...assembled in usa

and

compaq pc laptop, 366 mhz...assembled in taiwan

My beige FrankenMac G3 was built (initially) in Elk Grove CA... (Sac).

It's since been rebuilt from about 3 DOA's in my living room. I practice Mac Necromancy. 😀 It even has a non- standard switched power supply I salvaged from a DOA PC when the one it came with died... kinda cool, I can power more HD's than the Beige Minitower specs for with the original.
