Ipod Touch Shuffle Problem

So whenever I put my Ipod on shuffle it will go to a random song then when the song is done it will keep on playing that same exact song as if it was on repeat. Any ideas on how I could fix this?

I can't get my Touch 3rd gen to shuffle every song randomly like my Nano. It will just shuffle the songs from one artist at a time or from a Genius playlist of 25. I want it to randomly shuffle everything?

What am I missing?

If you select songs from within the iPod application can't you select Shuffle right at the top?

Thanks. You are right. I never enter it from the "songs" menu, just the "artist" menu.:o
