Better option than an FS200/FS300 for a beginner?

A few people recommended an FS200 for my needs. I'll be filming some random outtings and maybe doing a bit of blogging, so I don't need anything special.

Looks like I can pick up a refurbished fs200 for $200.

About to buy finally, wanted to get some final second opinions before I pull the trigger. Thanks!

Oh and my budget is $300.

Also, looks like the FS300 is 299.99 on Amazon. Would I see much of a difference?
