wanna put movies on my ipad, not my macbook?

i dont have my macbook with me, i have my girls macbook, and i ripped a dvd, hooked my ipad up to her macbook, and wanted to throw the dvdrip onto my ipad...itunes says if i wanna sync, it will delete the movies on my ipad??!!

why cant i do this? i can only sync with my macbook?

Exactly. Just like any iPod, iPhone, or Touch, it can only be synced to one computer at a time. That's the way it's always worked.
