Question about eyetv hybrid on iMac

Hi everyone, i was woundering if there is any lag with watching tv via eyetv hybrid on a iMac. I looked in the forums but couldn't find the answer. I know playing games has lag but what about live tv through cable. Thank you for the answers in advance.

I had the same question about the eyetv here as well. Interested in hooking up my DirecTV receiver to the iMac and using as a TV. Does the eyetv only support 720P? I assume you just hook it up with component cables? No HDMI?

Not sure what you mean by "lag" when watching TV...you mean if you had another set in the room is teh EyeTV picture "delayed" a little from the cable stream to the other TV? If so, I don't know the answer to that.

As far as watching TV from cable on my iMac through the EyeTV, it looks fine....if you only have 2GB RAM and a slower processor you probably don't want to be doing large DVD rips/conversions in the background at the same time.
