i5- i7

well apple store quoted me $2470 OTD for the 27" i7 with 8 gigs ram, or a refurb 27" i5 with 8 gigs for $1999..... i7 worth the 400 extra bucks HELP cant decide....i will be running bootcamp and gaming on it as well as photoshop graphics work. probably i million threads just wanted some quick advice! thanks

I doubt games will be taking full advantage of 8 virtual cores anytime soon, plus the general trend of computers is that everything is moving towards the more powerful gpus to do most tasks.

Apple overcharges for both the ram and i7, I'd get the i5 and add more ram yourself.

If you're serious about gaming, you'll probably get better results using 1333hmz ddr3 ram instead of 8gigs of 1066mhz. The slight bit of bandwidth boost might give you a couple extra fps.
