That's not necessarily true, I've seen plenty of sucessful newbie transactions, you just have to be a smart buyer.

mshepherd, since you would prefer a local pickup, it would be helpful if you said where you are located. Also, do you have any feedback for online transactions, such as on eBay or Heatware?
