I (stupidly) did not order the official iPad case from Apple in advance. How often does the store receive new shipments? Would it be likely that they will have them on Friday?

Its a hit or miss kind of scenario. And if you ask, they will tell you that their packages are a surprise to them. In other words, they don't tell anyone anything.
I gave up the fight and ordered online.
I checked my local Apple store for the past week with no luck.I bought one off ebay last night...could not wait 1-2 weeks without having my case as I will be traveling soon. If you go the ebay route, don't pay the $69 or $79 buy it nows some are asking, there are some auctions ending in the $40-$50 dollar range.
