Please tell me there are other options besides this.. What sane person can spend nearly $300 on a bag? What drives me nuts is that the 24" version and the 30" CD versions are like over a $100 cheaper. I am not one to pinch pennies but this is just RIDICULOUS!

I've been looking into getting a Tenba, it's just kinda expensive - (http://www.tenba.com/products/Transport-27-Apple-iMac-w--wheels--Air-Case-for-Computer-Equipment.aspx).

Seems like a great idea if you do lots of flying.. I just want a reasonably priced case just so i can bring it back and forth to my friends house!
The thing is I'd consider $200 for the iLugger to be more than reasonable. I just can't fathom spending near $300 for something I know is being marked up probably like 200%

I've had the 20" iLugger. The 27" is very expensive, but it's worth it to keep your iMac safe and protected. I would expect the 27" to drop in price in a year or two, but I just can't wait. Hopefully I'll save up some money for the bag.
