Resellers vs. Apple Store for Support

I would really like to switch from a PC to an iMac G5. Are there any differences in terms of support (AppleCare) between purchasing from an Authorized Reseller and the Apple Store? Is it worth it to purchase the computer at a Reseller and the Applecare coverage at the Apple Store (education discount) if it saves $70 or $80? Thanks a lot for your help.

same difference. Go for cheaper. Same people work on your iMac if there's an issue.
 
If the price is the same between Apple and the Reseller, you might have more luck with the Reseller. The reseller relies much more on the goodwill of working with customers, and can be hurt much more by "bad words" than Apple can.
