I was simpliy trying to combined footage for a 2 camera concert shoot and now the audio meters are peeking and beeping? What did i do?

Is there a red bar on the top of the timeline?

If so you need to render the sequence (audio) via the RENDER menu.
If the audio is a compressed format like .mp3, better convert it to something like .wav or .aiff.

Btw, do you mean "beeping and beeping" or did you really mean "peeking"?
How many audio tracks are there? May it be, that there are audio tracks doubled and this adding each other's volume?
