Speakers on mid 2010 MBP doesn't seem to work?

Hey There.

I just started using my new 2010 MBP, and i'm thrilled about the blazyness of this new machine, in comparison with my old iBook G4 🙂

But after connecting my MBP to my stereo, via 3,5 mm minijack, and then disconnecting again, my speakers won't make a sound.!! No system or application sounds whatsoever.

Has anyone experienced similar problems?

Any help or clarification will be greatly appreciated 🙂

EDIT:
Seems the problem is deriving from the Minijack i/o. It doesn't react everytime the jack gets disconnected, and therefore stays in output mode, and thus doesn't play sound from built-in speakers...
