Let's list the jailbreak apps that work. I'm waiting for my iPad to sync before attempting the jailbreak (damn, backup takes forever), but so far I've noticed this in the forums:

Works:
Backgrounder
OpenSSH

Doesn't work:
SBSettings

What else?

To all [Windows 7] people getting the c00000005 error on 7, right click on the program and troubleshoot compatibility option and run it with windows 98/me and it works like a charm!:)

DO NOT INSTALL SBSETTINGS. It works but it screws up your springboard and it will cause you the touch responses to fail when trying to get into cydia to remove sbsettings.

If you end up installing it, simply reboot into safe mode, then head back into cydia and then remove sbsettings.

* Kirikae
* Backgrounder (installs and seems to be working but without kirikae)
* emoji
* SBSettings
* AppSync OS 3.1

scratch that. I found a bug. it was working fantastic with pandora. but I went into the ipod app and it completely locked up the ipad. had to restart it with home/power. did it everytime I would load ipod or pandora after that. I uninstalled music controls, deleted pandora and redownloaded and now pandora and ipod is working again. I hope the author fixes it cause it did work great at first.

SBsettings works, just 're-spring' your springboard after reboot and it goes back... you will have to do this after each reboot until it is fixed in the next version.

Search and install FakeCarrier on cydia.

You may use blank spaces to get rid of the iPad name or you could set a custom text for it. Tested just now and it works great on the iPad.

After downloading OpenSSL, multiflowprefs works but it is scaled to iPhones screen. Hope for an update

WORK, BUT BUGGY:
-backgrounder (doesn't allow me to turn persisting off, nor does it keep my blacklisted apps 'blacklisted'...also won't remember changes made to 'enabled' apps)
-SBSettings (selecting processes restarts springboard, must restart springboard intermittently to leave 'iphone' view)

On MIM just click Carrier to make it top left.
Or banner to make it center.Making it center removes the time.

Click the botton again to make it normal.

Folks watch out for that modmyi step by step guide to having programs open in full screen. I tried this a few apps and when I reopened not only did it not open in full screen but it froze the ipad up and I had to force a shutdown. When restarted all I got was the apple log which was the kiss of death and on to a full restore!

It's the same dashboard that's on your mac, just ported to the iPad.

Yeah I got it to work with a reinstall. First one did not work for some reason.

As of now, there has not been any updates to either one of them that are iPad specific. I expect in the near future to get iPad only versions of these as there are some differences between iTouch/iPhone and iPad's filesystem.

And on topic, I have found that these apps work:

TapMania
Torrentula (partially)
myHTML
Safari Download Plugin (To an extent. Had to rename all the files I downloaded in iFile to put the type back on it; like .exe, .zip, etc)

And the ones already listed but with minor problems:

Finally got my 3GS jailbreak back woot. Mywi is well worth $10.

Is anyone else having trouble installing certain packages. Cydia won't let me even download backgrounder. It takes me to a screen where you usually download and gives me a message saying "due to errors that can't be immediately identified this package cannot be downloaded".

I'm a noob when it comes to jb. But I'm dying to listen to music while browsing the web.

Yea, its a problem unless you get the Beta version. But now with the Beta version, when I go to adjust the brightness in SBSettings, it crashed the iPad into Safe Mode.

Can't wait until they release everything as it should be for the iPad. I think Im going to do a fresh restore and reinstall all the Jailbreak apps at that point so its a fresh install.

What I tried the snes emulator the video didn't work. If I switched between 1x and 2x mode the video would change but it always stayed frozen.

It looked different because they changed the Theme. Go to More and then click on Themes, there are four different themes.

Maps Enhancer works (keeps google map cache saved for offline use)
The preference pane doesn't load, but the default settings are fine.

SBSettings is updated, works in landscape mode now.

I can't remember if it actually didn't work or if it was just too iPhone-ugly, but I uninstalled categories (love it on the phone though). This is one I'll be watching for, though.

Anyone having crashes with Infinidock? It worked great for me and then I made a change within' the app and it crahsed. Now I can't reinstall it without the iPad crashing.
