Touch Problem

first, I relize this is a repost- I posted it in the regular ipod forum being an idiot not realizing there was a touch specific forum.. so flame away if you like..


Daughter's Touch is kinda fouled up. not connecting to the computer to charge or connect for itunes. Looks like one of the pins in the bottom is broken. Is this device beyond help? Has a crack in the screen but I think it's unrelated. I'm pretty sure cause of the crack Applecare will just laugh at us.

Advice, suggestions?
