iMac 27" to Early 2008 MBP via TDM

Howdy,


I'm waiting for my 27" iMac to come in the mail. In the mean time I was thinking about using my iMac with my MBP. Is there a way to make TDM to work with a early 2008 MBP? If you're unfamiliar, early 2008 MBPs do not have a mini DVI so it's not possible to directly use the TDM on a iMac/MBP. Would http://store.apple.com/us/product/M9320G/A work with it? I spoke to an Apple rep who said they didn't know.
