I was looking into selling my old iPhone 2G. It looks that erase all content and settings was the best way to remove the data from the phone - but does this make the phone safe to sell without have to worry about someone getting my personal data from the phone.

Apple even upgraded their wipe command after some complaints that it didn't fully remove all user data. My understanding now is the wipe is very thourogh.
