my iphone was stolen at school today....

and the person was kind enough to leave the sim card....

how do i cancel the data plan for the iphone now?

do i have to pay 30 dollars extra a month for a year still even though i dont use a iphone anymore?

i plan on buying a a moto razr this week...🙁
 
wow that really sucks. He probably left the sim card behind so there would be no way of tracking the phone, as long as he leaves wi-fi off as well.
 
You already got the answer to this question last month when you posted it as a hypothetical. Did you get a good price for your "lost" PHONE?
 
If the thread 3 weeks ago wasn't a dead giveaway then the fact that the person who "stole his iPhone" left his SIM card did the trick. When's the last time you heard about someone stealing someone's wallet but leaving behind the person's license and social security card?

This is exactly how it went:
I'm sure he was carrying around a paperclip. Carefully bent the paperclip to form a nice point to remove the SIM card. Removed the plastic covering. Took the SIM card out. Carefully put the plastic covering back on. Left the SIM card on your desk or wherever it was stolen from. Leaves a thank you note. Then bolts out of there.
 
this guy should go on TV lol I mean 3 weeks ago he talks about his phone hypothetically being stolen and then it is..... it's like he seen it was going to happen lol
 
lol this is funny. Only on Macrumors 😛 ..... I thought the part about someone leaving the sim card was funny and bizarre, but then i figured the person just did it to avoid being tracked lol.

Nice story though kid, I don't know what you're up to but its certainly not anything kosher.
 
Gee, and I thought I was bad for laughing as soon as I saw this post. My thought process went something like: HA HA HA! You stupid kid, you shouldn't have an iPhone in school anyway. Dummy. Then it turned to: Well, unless he is in college... HA HA HA, he was probably drunk.

Yeah, I know I'm demented. My husband says so all the time.
 
You probably made a contract, not many ways to cancel it without paying a big one time fee
