Msft Wireless IntelliMouse Explorer

Pretty much giving up on the Apple BT mouse. 1 button is such a step backwards.

Transferred everything over to new iMac G5 and decided to plug in Msft. mouse. Thumb buttons no longer work. Went to preference pane and it said s/w needed to be reinstalled. Located CD and it said software was already installed. Removed all traces of it (including old System Folder that the FW transfer provided) and the software still says it's on my PC.

Help. I can't live without a back and forward button on mouse for Safari.

Those buttons have never worked with safari have they? I think there is about 100 users on here that would love to program them. I think they are only reconized for expose.

edit: Is this the bluetooth explorer or just the regular wireless one?

Regular wireless and the buttons worked on my old iMac with 10.3.
