I would really like a 40gb or greater hd if i get really desperate i will take a 30GB but i have very limited funds. i have some stuff i could be willing to trade so if anyone is interested at all please im me at boywonder8503 or email macrlz9@mac.com

I don't know what your limited funds are, but it might be worthwile to get an internal HD and an external enclosure and use that for storage. Depending on what you buy, the total could cost as little as $100.

i would really like to stay away from external storage, and i figured that someone would have an extra one somewhere and would like to trade to help lower cost

Well, it was kind of a joke. You can buy a new internal IDE drive of the same size for about the same price (or cheaper). The links I provided above are all for internal 2.5" 40GB laptop IDE drives.

How old is your iBook? Is it still covered under any Apple warranty (extended or otherwise)? If so, changing your HD yourself may void your warranty. You may be required to get an Apple authorized technician to do it.

ok i've decided that getting an internal drive might get too expensive... anyone know where to get very cheap deskotp hard drives, i'd like 40-60gb to save on bucks and a firewire enclosure?
