You use ichat, which should already be on your Mac, assuming you have Panther (I think previous versions of iChat didn't do video). They use AIM, which is AOL Instant Messenger - they can download it for free from the AOL website.
Your other alternative is Yahoo instant messenger, which is available for Mac and PC and does video. To do this, you both need to download copies of Yahoo (iChat will only talk to iChat and AIM, Yahoo will only talk to Yahoo)
MSN Messenger is different, and won't work for you - you can do video on the PC version, but not the Mac version, and MSN will only talk to MSN, not iChat.
Make sense?

Just thought I'd mention that you have to be using AIM for Windows V5.5 or newer for it to work.
Only way I managed this the other night was both of us to use Yahoo Messenger.
Was very disappointing for me though - after I've used iChat - both audio and video options.
The Yahoo - gave us video - but we had to type?!?!?!
So video no audio. Not sure what other experiences people have had.
Got my mate (that I chatted with via yahoo) over here today - and showed in an iChat video and audio chat - and he was very impressed...
I'm thinking I could almost get him to switch!

Yep, Yahoo only does video, not audio with it. I think MSN PC to PC does video and audio, but I'm not sure how good it is. Certainly, iChat, an iSight, and a broadband connection blows the competition....
