Fastest to slowest.

Speedtest.net 31.6 MBPS

Giganews 50 connections (Usenet) I average 20MBPS

iTunes 1-2 MBPS

Regular Safari Firefox etc 500-800KBPS

Torrents 500KBPS max

What do you do that is fastest and slowest mainly media wise downloads you do?

first do some homework, as to the difference between B and b (Bytes and Bits) in computers.
speedtest.net reports in b and I'm guessing the other speeds you list are using are likely B

2nd, you list speeds for different things, those all depend on the servers you are pulling from, not necessarily the program pulling them.
if I download programs from apple using "regular Safari / Firefox", I approach the 1-2MBps speeds you list for iTunes. While other sites might be in the 500-800KBps range you specify.
I also have some (private, invitation only)torrent trackers that i get files at that same 1-2 MBps speed, while other trackers I'm lucky to hit 300KBps.
