I was thinking of the same at one point but would be concerned about magenets and the hard drive (and other components). Can anyone give confirm whether that is a true concern.

Edit: Oh. I see you want to stick magnets on the case. I don't see much potential for harm. Might be an issue with the magnetometer, though, which is going to be an issue given you want to use it for navigation. Read the tear-down reports and figure out where they mount the magnetometer. Still might be a problem.
