iPod touch Having trouble setting up gmail account on touch

I have been trying to add my gmail account to my touch and am encountering an issue. I had it added once before but deleted and now I can't seem to be able to re-add. I have tried selecting the gmail preset in the mail app and also using google's instructions going through the "other" option. Both are not allowing me to acutally add the account. It says it is having some issue with the imap. Any ideas how to remedy this?

So I tried it again on another wifi network and it worked. I guess the wifi at my job was somehow screwing it up? Weird.
