Hi,
I have a ipod touch
its a 8G, I got it in
January and suddenly
today it wouldn't turn on
and when I tried to connect it to the
computer with the usb cord it wouldn't connect
I have called the techinican and they said to charge it
for sixteen hours? but how can it charge if it can't even
connect?! Im very frustrated that my ipod is not turning on
can anyone help?

Leave your iPod touch plugged in to your machine to charge it. It seems that if the battery is drained all the way it can take several minutes for the screen to reappear.

Better if he charges it via the wall charger.

Yes. It could take awhile to get enough juice for the battery to respond. However, sometimes it never does.

Note: I think you should charge from the wall, but you can leave it in the USB and maybe it'll work anyway. If not, go to the wall charger. It usually only takes a few minutes to show the charge indicator. However, leave it charging over night if you have to (some get results the next day, anything's possible). If then you have nothing, it's time to go to the Apple store. Battery replacement ~$85.
