View Full Version : VCR/DVD Code-Free with an IMAC? Possible?

I would like to hook up a combination code-free DVD/VCR player to my IMAC so I can rent any movie from the video store and be able to watch it on my IMAC without fear that it is from another region or a VCR tape.

Ideally, I'd like to plug this into my IMAC and watch any DVD/VCR with the ease of watching it on a home tv. Is it possible?

Maybe one of these can help:

But I don't know about it working with MacroVision (copy protection for VHS).

Has anyone actually tried transferring real VCR films to their computer using the Elgato video capture?
