The team didn't exist, so I started it:

http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/team_display.php?teamid=1088

It requires the use of BOINC, which when you navigate around on the huge site, is downloadable from them, of which an account must be made.

When you download the BOINC client, you must get it working by typing in the MacOS X Terminal:

chmod ug+rx <name of client> (you might want to rename it "boinc" as I did).

and then:

./<name of client>

at the next Terminal prompt -- and answer the questions.

Program requires a goodly amount of time, though it "trickles" information back periodically.

I'm using a 17" pb @ 1.33 ghz and it runs fine. Your iBook is last year's pb going a tad slower than mine, so you might like to try it.

has nothing to do with the speed. I mean this thing overheats when i play starcraft (meaning it heats up to 165F sometimes). I tried folding@home on it for about 4 hours and it ran at a constant 170F.

I hope you are not just laying your laptop on the table -- put a wire dishrack under it to allow for airflow, and use this:

And what does this website do?

It tries to predict, based on various input data, the effects of greenhouse gases on the climate of Earth -- or any other planet, for that matter.

Yeah, I do that a lot. Why let a perfectly good thread go to waste?

Yes and yes.
