24" imac stuck pixel... what to do?

Okay I have a 24" imac, see signature, that my dad bought last June and I just noticed it has a pixel that is stuck on purple:(. I checked the rest of the screen and its all good.
How do you fix this, and has anyone had success? I need to know if I should take it back before the warranty expires

If it's actually a stuck pixel and not dead, take a soft cloth and rub the pixel in a circular motion.

AppleCare only covers displays that have 7 or more dead pixels.

It's no use to rub the iMac as it has glass on it....
