Best way to write to NTFS in OS X

Hiya, I've tried searching, but there wasn't really a clear answer.

The best options for writing to NTFS that I found:

• Paragon NTFS for Mac
• NTFS-3G
• Tuxera NTFS for Mac
• MacFuse
• Native write support
• NTFS mounter

If I've missed any big then let me know but this has been what I've found. Ideally I'd use the native write support hack, but is there any benefit to using the other options? I wouldn't like to end up with corrupt files because I didn't choose the best option.

Any advice would be grand. Thank you!

I actually forgot that I started this thread as I found a workaround at the time. But I'm back at square one and need full NTFS. Anyone got an answer to my original question please?

I personally use Tuxera 🙂

As far as I know, Tuxera is kind of applications or a system config that lets you write on NTFS (and read, too)

and MacFuse is a special code system developed by Google to let you use extra 3-rd applications, and based on that you can use Tuxera.

Assuming you're using Snow Leopard - use DiskUtil/mount. It's supported by default, it should even get mounted by default. If the drive is mounted read-only, mount it once properly on Windows or use fsck.ntfs from any Linux-Based Live-CD.
